before & after: children's chalkboard desk

School is almost out for the year, but I couldn't resist painting this child's school desk.

The before isn't anything too fancy; just a plan boring school desk.  Do you remember using desks similar to this as a child?  I surely do.

I gave the top three coats of chalkboard paint, allowing the paint to fully dry in between each coat. 

Sadly I don't have any chalk at home to try it out with, but there's some at the shop so I'll doodle lots when I drop it off this afternoon. :)

I didn't want the chair to feel jealous, so it got a brand new coat of paint too.  :)
